The next part of their project was to create a piece of art using pastels. Students had to incorporate information that they had learned about their city.

Canada, how beautiful you are!
As a conclusion to our urban and rural communities unit, students worked on a project that combined their new knowledge of persuasive and descriptive writing, research skills and knowledge of urban and rural communities. The project was called "Convince me to Love your City." Students had to write a piece that convinced someone to move to their city. Students discussed several aspects of their city in their writing.
