Sparkle, Chirp, Floral, Sour, Rough!

We are working on exploring words that relate to our five senses. We discovered that when we incorporate these words into our writing, it allows the reader to feel like they are in the location that was written about. Yesterday we brainstormed interesting descriptive words. 


We also practiced using a thesaurus to find synonyms for our descriptive words. 


Students were given a writing prompt for homework and they had to improve it by adding detail, and descriptive words that related to our senses. Today students are in small groups providing descriptive feedback their peers.
