Inferring with Faces



To continue our inferring discussion we inferred about the facial expressions of people in various pictures. Students had to use their own knowledge and combine it with information that they found in the picture to come up with their inferences. Personal knowledge + clues from the picture = my inference. 


Students were also given some sentence starters for their inferences. 
Students were shown a picture of a woman smiling and came up with the following:




Students were then shown these other faces and independently developed inferences.
